Referral Program

FatTail Markets offers a referral program that rewards both referrers and new users.

How it works

1. Get your code — Visit your Portfolio page to find your unique referral code
2. Share it — Send the code to friends or share your position/portfolio card
3. Earn rewards — Get 10% commission on your referrals’ trading fees for 6 months

Referral rules

• You cannot use your own referral code
• Each user can only apply one referral code (once applied, cannot be changed)
• Commissions are credited automatically after each qualifying trade
• Referral codes are generated on first access (lazy generation)

Shareable Cards

Share your trading performance as rich images with built-in referral links.

Position Card

Share an individual market position showing:

• Market title and your side (YES/NO)
• Number of shares and average price
• Current P&L percentage
• Payout multiplier
• Your referral code in the footer

Portfolio Card

Share your overall portfolio summary showing:

• Total active positions
• Approximate balance (shown roughly for privacy)
• Vig earnings
• Best position P&L

How to share

1. From Market Detail — When you hold a position, a Share button appears next to your holdings
2. From Portfolio — A Share button appears next to the page title

Each share button offers two options:

• Download Image — Downloads a 1200x630 PNG image (perfect for social media)
• Copy Share Link — Copies a URL with ?ref=YOUR_CODE that shows an OG preview when pasted on Twitter, Discord, etc.

Share page flow

When someone clicks your shared link:

1. They see a preview card with your position/portfolio stats
2. OG meta tags generate a rich preview on social platforms
3. A “Join FatTail Markets” button links to signup with your referral code pre-filled
4. Your referral code is displayed so they can enter it manually if needed
